Director & Owner

Tanya Acosta, M.A. CCC-SLP is the owner and director of Boston Speech Therapeutics LLC. She is a Massachusetts State licensed and nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Tanya is a bilingual Speech Pathologist who speaks both English and Spanish. Prior to starting her practice, Tanya has worked in various settings including private and public schools, an Autism Clinic abroad in Ireland, and a Nursing Home.

Tanya received a Bachelor’s Degree at Boston University, and a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders at, Indiana University Bloomington. She maintains certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed in Massachusetts.

Bilingual Is Better

Bilingual children develop speech and language normally. Typically, learning two languages can take a longer time. However, bilingual children should still reach developmental milestones such as producing their first word at 12 months and using two-word phrases by two years of age.
