Overview

Boston Speech Therapy is a bilingual private practice that is dedicated to providing quality speech and language services to children and adults in Boston, MA.  We have been serving the Metro Boston area since 2012. We provide services in both English and Spanish and we are a specialized mobile therapy service. Therapy is provided in homes, preschools, daycare, schools, or offices. We are also qualified to provide evaluations and treatment to any school or facility that has a need for speech and language services.

What We Do

Our company is comprised of nationally certified and state licensed speech-language pathologists, as well as state recognized speech-language pathologist assistants. Our speech-language pathologists are highly qualified to evaluate and treat a vast variety of speech and language disorders and delays. Services include speech and language, voice, accent modification,fluency and AAC (Alternative Augmentive Communication), Individuals will learn speech and language skills to improve their overall functional communication. These skills will promote success in school and future education. We also work with the parents and teachers to facilitate carryover of the newly acquired skills.

We are a small company that is focused on providing comprehensive, genuine, and personal therapy that will enhance the lives of those we serve.

Director & Owner | Boston Speech & Language

Tanya Acosta, M.A. CCC-SLP is the owner and director of Boston Speech Therapeutics LLC.  She is a Massachusetts State licensed and nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Tanya is a bilingual Speech Pathologist who speaks both English and Spanish.  Prior to starting her practice, Tanya has worked in various settings including private and public schools, an Autism Clinic abroad in Ireland, and a Nursing Home.

Tanya received a Bachelor’s Degree at Boston University, and a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders at, Indiana University Bloomington. She maintains certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed in Massachusetts.

Tanya has had extensive experience assessing and treating clients with autism, articulation, phonological and fluency disorders and receptive/expressive language impairments. She also has extensive experience in literacy, as literacy skills go hand-in-hand with language development. Tanya has also worked with clients diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Feeding disorders, Emotionally Disturbed and Selective Mutism.

Tanya believes in a team approach to therapy and therefore encourages collaboration with parents, teachers and other therapists, when applicable, to provide the most encouraging and successful environment for her clients. Her practice is based on providing the highest quality of service to her clients and their families while working to achieve their speech and language goals.
